Do I need to create an account?

Are my files uploaded to a server?

Is there a file size or page limit?
No limit that we set. The practical ceiling is your device's memory rather than a rule, so a large scanned document will feel slower on a phone than on a laptop, but nothing will refuse to open at 51 pages the way a free tier usually does.
Can I edit text that is already in the PDF?
Yes. Edit text changes words already present in the document and reuses the fonts embedded in the file, so the result matches the paragraph around it. Add text drops a new text box anywhere on the page, which is what you want on a flat scan that has no real text in it.
How do I sign a PDF?
Open the Sign tool, then draw your signature with a mouse, trackpad or finger, type it in a handwriting face, or upload a photo of one you already have. Place it, resize it, export. The signature is kept in your browser only, so the next document takes a single click.
Does redaction actually remove the text?
Yes, and this is the part most tools get wrong. Redaction deletes the underlying characters from the file rather than drawing a black rectangle on top of them. Text removed this way cannot be selected, copied or searched in the exported PDF — which is the whole difference between redacting something and merely hiding it.
Will a converted file look exactly like the original?
Usually close, never guaranteed, and anyone promising otherwise is overselling. Converting between formats is lossy by nature: a PDF describes a fixed page while a Word file describes flowing text, and the two do not map onto each other perfectly. Plain layouts, headings and images survive well; complex multi-column pages and unusual fonts less so. Check the result before you rely on it.
Which browsers and devices does it work on?
Any current browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android or iOS — Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari are all fine. It works on a phone, though the editor has a lot of tools and is more comfortable on a larger screen.
Can I use it without an internet connection?
Once the page has loaded, yes. You can disconnect and keep editing, because nothing here needs the network to do its job. Only the first load needs a connection.
